On Social Networks content is king, and those who are capable of creating outstanding content, are making money and have a huge following. I have been on social networks since 2016, and I have seen a lot.
Personally, I’m a travel content creator and an influencer with my page that recommends accommodation and destinations to visit in Africa Hade Travel.
I also write about social media, digital skills, creative skills, and wellness.
These 5 Ideas are applicable in Tanzania and any country in the world, if you’re good enough you can get a fanbase from different parts of the world.

#1 Fashion Content Creator
The fashion industry in Tanzania is growing massively and every day, people buy clothes for all age groups. Read carefully, according to a.list article, 80% of women today, seek ideas and inspiration from influencers online, and some use platforms like Pinterest before deciding to buy.
This sounds interesting, I’m creating a database of influencers who are also content creators, and while I was doing that I noticed in Tanzania this content is missing by far.
What can you do?
Become a mannequin, you can be a male or female, classification goes further even the color tones of our skin because not all clothes fit all color tones. Be their number one advisor and mirror.
Show people in a very unique and creative way how they will fit in a particular outfit, and advise them when and why they should wear that type of outfit.
It is important to set up a time for your short video, it must not exceed 3 minutes, and make sure it is interesting and easy to understand, uses of jargon won’t help you anyway.
You can use this idea on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest. Once you become popular with good engagements, brands will start to partner with you, and from there money will start to flow. You will influence fashion shops and top designers in the industry. Usage of music will make your content even better, so pick carefully.
The benefit of being both a content creator and influencer is that you will have targeted niche followers, that will increase your value and how much you will charge per video since your content will be genuine and organic.

Become, Fashion store reviewer. Grab your smartphone, go to a shop and review it, and show the people that this is the best shop and why. Their customers will always rely on you, they will trust you before making a decision to go to any of these shops you know.
Remember time is key, do not exceed 3 munites, and must be interesting, in Swahili, there is a saying ‘Fupi Tamu’, which means the shortest the sweetest consider that.
Once you will become popular, fashion brands will ask you to make videos for their shops, to review them with every new stock! and here the money will start to flow since you will be charging or video. In your pricing remember to include the cost of production, it will help you to upgrade your production for better reviews and quality.
Bonus, Fashion is broader, you can categorize yourself accordingly.
#2 Food & Restaurants Reviewer
In Tanzania, people love to eat just like anywhere in the world, and good thing they also like to taste new dishes and they pay good money for it. But as you know, it is always a hustle to choose what to eat, and where to eat when you are outside. Tourists too, sometimes look for a local food reviewer or restaurant reviewer to get recommendations and advice.
So, why can’t you become their help? start to review food in different restaurants and hotels in Tanzania or anywhere in the world, tell the people the experience, why they should eat that food, when to eat, and even better where they can eat that food.
In your videos recommends the best restaurants and dishes to eat, once you earned followers’ trust then you will have value, this value will help you to earn money by promoting restaurants anywhere in Tanzania. Additionally, you will eat for free, travel for free, eat in decent restaurants for free, simply without spending a penny, and still, you make money out of it.
The video should be short and sweet, not more than 3 minutes on Instagram and TikTok and not more than 10 minutes on YouTube or Facebook.
This industry is broader, categorise yourself accordingly.

In Tanzania, we are missing a top car reviewer, imagine you want to buy a new car in Tanzania, and there is a page in Swahili, that tells you everything you need to know before buying one? that could be fun.
It is always a hustle when you do not have someone to advise you before making a purchasing decision. But having this type of content creator will be a big boost and help many car buyers.
The industry got big money too, once you will earn followers’ trust, companies will start to work with you to promote their yards, and all services they provide, clearing and forwarding companies will hire you, and brands will hire you to influence their cars, new models. You can sometimes get cars without even buying them at the actual price!
Simple, tell them about the car in general, the unique features of it, where they can buy it, price including tax, spare parts availability, and everything they need to know before buying any model of a car.

There is a saying, if you want to hide anything from Tanzanians, put it into writing. Most Tanzanians do not like to read, that is a fact.
But have you ever asked yourself why?
Reading culture start from a very early stage in the family, if there is no member of your family who likes to read there are very few chances you will be a good reader. Many of them either were inspired at school or under peer pressure.
Another reason, people do not like to read long books, they just need a few things and go!
A book review or summary in Swahili will help many people since they will not read but watch and hear, this is easy for any Tanzanian, trust me.
With this idea, you can earn money by having a monetized YouTube Channel, and promoting writers’ works and of course, public speaking, the knowledge you’ll acquire will be enough to do this.
You can also start a blog, plenty of Swahili speakers out there!
Applicable on all social platforms, but time is very crucial in this type of content, as well as presentation skills need to be fun, creative, and on point. No one likes to get bored.
#5 Become a Relationship Coach
People are struggling with love affairs, and they will forever be. Find a unique and creative way of coaching them, tell them dos and don’ts in relationships, advise them what they can do better, everything they need to know before starting relationships or marriages, and they will like you and trust you.
How can you make money? you can host events, and people will pay for it, you can promote wedding services brands, and monetize your youtube and Facebook channels.
All you need is your phone, time, thorough research, and experience.
Presentation skills, personality, choice of words, and tone of voice are all crucial in this type of content, put that in mind before starting.
