Imane Anys, better known as Pokimane, is a Twitch streamer, YouTuber, and social media influencer, best known for her gaming livestreams. She is Moroccan-Canadian and attended McMaster University in Ontario where she studied chemical engineering. Career

In February 2013, Pokimane made the life-changing decision to start her Twitch account and stream her gaming after she reached Platinum rank in League of Legends. Her account quickly grew from nothing to nearly 500,000 followers by 2017, making her one of the most popular gamers on the platform. As she continued to grow, she began streaming a plethora of games including Fortnite, Among Us, and Minecraft. The Pokimane net worth rose along with her fame.

She has received a number of accolades for her Twitch channel’s success, including “Twitch streamer of the year” at the 10th annual Shorty Awards in 2018, the “legacy award” at The Streamer Awards in 2022, and the 2022 “best streamer” at the Canadian Game Awards.

Since starting her Twitch channel, Pokimane has become actively involved in all of the popular social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and multiple YouTube channels. Her career continues to expand as she takes on a plethora of ventures within the gaming and entertainment industry. Some of her most notable career moves throughout the years are as follows:

  • She was featured on the popular rapper Marshmello‘s series in both episodes “Cooking with Marshmello” and “Gaming with Marshmello”.
  • She has her own Fortnite emote (cosmetic items available in Fortnite).
  • She played a fictionalized version of herself in Shawn Levy’s “Free Guy”, starring Ryan Reynolds.
  • She is the owner of rts.gg, a talent management company that helps gaming creators make their mark on the industry.
  • She played in PogChamps, hosted by Chess.com, which is a virtual, amateur chess competition where internet personalities compete to win.

Pokimane Net Worth Breakdown

Pokimane, being such a well-rounded creator, has attained multiple sources of income for herself, so it’s hard to tell her exact net worth. Sources estimate her net worth is anywhere between $2 to $3 million based on her multiple incomes. In the past, the most prominent earnings that made up the Pokimane net worth came directly from Twitch streams, but as she grew in popularity, her other social media platforms, collaborations, and personal investments largely contributed to her worth.

Below is a breakdown of what sources contribute to the Pokimane net worth:

  • Twitch
  • YouTube
  • Social media influencing
  • Collaborations and sponsorships
  • Personal investments

In total, Pokimane makes an estimated $1 to $2 million a year, but with the growth rate of her net earnings rising at a whopping 80% over the last 2 years, she’s expected to continue climbing up the ladder.

Twitch

Starting with what Pokimane is most known and loved for: her Twitch account. Twitch is where Pokimane originally came to fame for her League of Legends gaming streams. She has since branched out into a number of other games such as Minecraft, Grand Theft Auto, Among Us, and Valorant. She also dabbles in “just chatting” videos — a Twitch feature that allows viewers to communicate directly with streamers, making for a more connected community on the platform.

Pokimane holds over 8.3 million followers on Twitch, making her one of the single most popular streamers on the app. She has made it known herself that, on average, she gets $10,000 per every 3,000 new followers she gains. With the upward trajectory that her channel has proven to have consistently combined with her income from ads and donations, it is likely that she earns over $35,000 a month from Twitch alone.

An anonymous Twitter hacker leaked that, in September of 2021, Pokimane brought home $38,217 from Twitch, which isn’t hard to believe as it would be right on par with her estimated earnings.

After exploding on Twitch, Pokimane started multiple YouTube channels to maximize her growth:

Between these 5 channels, Pokimane explores a variety of content to please multiple demographics within her fanbase. Classic gaming streams, ASMR videos, vlogs, stream VODS, and everything in between can be found somewhere on one of her channels.

Pokimane is also one of the core founders of Offline TV (3.07M subs), which is a channel started by multiple gaming content creators including Michale Reeves, Scarra, Pokimane, of course, and 6 other gamers. The group lives in a house together, creating collaborative content that makes for awesome videos.

In total, Pokimane racks in an estimated $30K between all of her YouTube channels’ monetizable features.

Social Media Influencing

Apart from Twitch and YouTube, Pokimane also holds a following across all of the popular social media platforms, helping her gain even more acclaim. Below is a list of all of her social media platforms:

Twitch @pokimane
YouTube @pokimane (main channel)
Instagram @pokimanelol
Twitter @pokimanelol
TikTok @poki
Facebook @pokimane
Snapchat @pokimane

It is estimated that Pokimane receives an estimated $5K- $10K a month from her social media influence alone, not including any sponsorships or collaborations that might come from her platforms.

Collaborations and sponsorships

With her significant followings across multiple social media, Pokimane receives a number of brand deals and collaboration invitations that add to her net worth.

She currently takes part in multiple brand deals with popular companies such as Postmates, NZXT, and CashApp. To emphasize the extent of money that her brand deals bring in, Pokimane revealed she once denied a $3M deal because she “was doing well enough as a streamer”.

Personal investments

In addition to all of her sources of income, Pokimane revealed in a tweet that she makes most of her money nowadays from her own financial planning. She has attained a number of assets for herself through her (very smart) investments that she’s been able to make with the money from her successes.

i capped my donations a year ago since i’m now at a point where sponsors, investments, and exclusive contracts can sustain me.
transparently, subs + stream ads are the lowest part of my income and i want you guys to continue keeping that money in your pocket. TREAT YOURSELVES ☺️
