first of all i need to know and understand what influencer means and what they do, by being persistence, having excellent communication skills, and a good eye for trends.

Influencer marketing is a form of social media marketing involving endorsements and product placement from influencers, people and organizations who have a purported expert level of knowledge or social influence in their field.

  • Mega-influencers with more than a million followers (think celebrities)
  • Macro-influencers with 500K to 1 million followers.
  • Mid-tier influencers with 50K to 500K followers.
  • Micro-influencers with 10K to 50K followers.
  • Nano-influencers with 1K to 10K followers.

In order to grow my reach and leverage social media to become an influencer I will use the following strategies.

1. Knowing My Niche

Knowing the audience, I want to inspire and motivate is an extremely important first step. This would define the trajectory and type of content that I would put out. Being more interested in beauty hacks and trends I would be more inclined towards these things and would focus on female audience between the age of 18–27 years.

2. Create Content

Now that I know my niche, my next plan would be to develop high quality content including GRWM (Get ready with me) makeup videos of beauty hacks/tips and trick videos and post them on my Instagram reel and TikTok. I would also post pictures routinely on the stories and post polls to increase engagement and to keep my followers entertained in order to grow organically.

3. Promote My Posts

In order to increase my audience, I would also have to keep my budget aside for paid promotions. For this, I will promote my videos to my desired audience (young females). Paid advertisement would help me increase my following exponentially and increase the impressions and click-through rate on my social media profiles so that the algorithm could pick up my content and start showcasing them on the explore pages. This strategy would be most suitable for my Instagram profile.

4. Monitoring Posts

One of the important metrics that I would routinely measure are the engagement rate, click-through rate and the increase or decrease in follower count. Additionally, I would monitor the times in the day when I have the most views and likes on my post so that I would strategically post on such time. Such routine measurement of metrices would help me establish trends that I can leverage to increase my presence and relevance on social media.

5. Establish A Brand

My brand would be based around the “relatable & young” persona. I would develop a space that people would want to see when they are feeling down and want a “pick me up.” My brand would also revolve around follower engagement where I actively post material (like polls, questions etc.) where my followers can present their point of view and feel heard. It would also serve as an information and knowledge base in all things trendy that could help people stay ahead of the fads and fashion.
