If you market your product or service to those who are influential then they will do advertising for you! In this blog we will explore 3 reasons why you want to market to your customer’s friends also known as influential people.

1. They Post on Social Media

The first reason is because they post on social media. Whether it is a clothing brand or a coffee shop, people love to post about what they love. This results in free marketing to a wide audience. The average user has 150 followers. This is a lot of people that have the potential to be influenced by a user. If you run marketing promotions that encourage people to post on Instagram or Facebook, you will have a large reach for your advertisement.

2. They Talk About Your Product with People

People love to talk about what they like. Word of mouth is one of the best ways marketing can be successful. Let’s face it, it doesn’t matter how many people hear about you if they don’t come and buy what you are selling. One way they are more likely to buy from you is if their friend suggests your product or service to them. Ways you could formulate a marketing strategy around this are giving people coupons that work for their friends. You also could do some promotion that says, “if your friend signs up you receive $5 off and they receive $5 off”. This would motivate them to tell their friends about your awesome product.

3. Others Look to Them for the Latest Trends

Some brands look to grab the influential people first in their marketing campaigns because they know others are looking to them for the latest trend. You see people wearing certain clothes, going to certain places, or having the most recent technology. This makes you want to buy the item for yourself! If you target those who are influential simply just them having it is marketing for your company!

People look to others for advice on what products and services are good. In attracting those who are the influencers you are selling to more than just one person. You are selling to their span of influence as well. What are you waiting for? Go start a marketing campaign targeting the influential people of the world!
